    CSS For an Text Box ...

    Hello ...

    I am trying to style a text box ... the style I used below works excpet on IE6

    Code:
    .input {
    	font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    	font-size:1em;
    	text-align:left;
    	padding:5px;
    	border:1px solid #CCCCCC;
    	width:100%;
    	float:right;
    }
    But then I have to place this in the stylesheet so it works in IE6 ...

    Code:
    * html .input { height:1%; }
    But then it breaks in IE5 (does not show up in the screen) ... how can I fix it?

    Thanks

    What do you need the height: 1%; for? Just give an absolute or relative height to all browsers. Unless I'm missing something of course. Do you have a live example?

    That was the hack needed so the padding would be correct. I don't know what the text box just does not resize when you insert padding like a normal element.

    Thanks for your help.
