How to Promote an Arcade Site

I own an arcade website, www.strikearcade.com. It currently gets about 2K uniques/day but I really want to get it up alot higher. Does anyone have recommendations on what kind of advertising/promotion I should conduct in order to accomplish this? So far, I've tried heaps of link exchanges to broaden my range, a little bit of SEO (though I'm not good at it), and have not touched on Myspace advertising really.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

A 2 minute Look at your site and the on-page SEO is very weak!

I did a speed report on your homepage and it revealed a lot....

total size of the page - a massive 361K!, 60 unique objects on the page, over 47K of HTML!

If someone on a modem hit your page, it would take around 70 seconds to load - they would never come back!

Spend a few days learning a bit about SEO and optomising your page, (and the user experience) and then ask how to further promote the site.

Ok, but which part of SEO should I focus on? I understand that it is a very broad field.

well - I gave you at least 5-6 hints in my post - but how about forget SEO for the moment and re-buld your website and assume that everyone ov your visitors is on a modem. Once you have done that, and your page is no longer 300+K and it is VISITOR Friendly, then it is time to consider the SE's

There are stickys in the SEO Forum - Start there.

If you are not prepared to learn how to do this yourself, then you may want to look in the Advertising Forums and find a SEO Company to do it for you.
