    mod rewrite?

Im not sure if Im thinking of the correct function. What I have is a few subdomains::

    beta.domain.com
    forums.domain.com
    etc., etc.

when I type in said domain I still am shown the url as::

    www.domain.com/beta

how do I get all pages within said folder (beta) to have the url shown as::

    beta.domain.com/test2.php
    beta.domin.com/test1/

where the pages test2.php and the folder (with default.php) test1 are within the beta folder.

Also, if I were to type in::
beta.domain.com/test2.php that I would go to the correct page that I typed in?

any suggestions on how I go about doing this?

    Hi,

This is probably better off answered at the Apache Configuration subforum of server management, as it has more to do with that than PHP.

If your using cpanel or hotlink protection there is a reasonable chance it is causing your subdomains to redirect like that.
    Try disabling hotlink protection.
