    Japan's Version of Powerpuff Girls

So.. having sisters and all at some point or another you see the powerpuff girls. Now,here I am checking the new anime coming out in July.. and I notice a show that looks like the powerpuff girls. Then it suddenly hits me that it IS the powerpuff girls. Let's see what Japan has to offer to a popular American show:

    Blossom:

    Bubbles:

    Buttercup:

and for sweatje, (who I think should change his avatar now to be up with the new hip style ):

Yes folks, that's Japan for you.

oh my god. they totally killed my favorite PPG. Buttercup. This seems rather pointless don't you think? I mean PPG already had a bit of an anime feel to it. Meh, whatever.

Oh, I didn't show you Buttercup's "casual dress" style. That probably would have killed you Yah, it's already got an anime feel to it, but not to the Japanese standards! They had to make uber cool transformation scenes (btw, I think they've got the best transformation scenes ever.. I mean.. who thought that up..) and turn Bubbles into something suductive .

    I'm watching it because

    a) I want to see how far they'll go with it. The've already got Blossom sneaking out while the professor doesn't know late at night with the other girls in the ending!

    b) I'm into girls with long hair (I'm still not sure why, it's just a thing...)

ack, curiosity got the best of me. For others who are curious to see some eps, you can get them off YouTube. This particular user seems to be posting all sorts of Demashitaa! PowerPuff Girls Z videos.

The show is actually not too bad. Though I find Bubbles' voice a bit too deep for a girl her age (whatever age that's suppose to be). Mojo's habit of saying "mojo" at the end of his sentences reminded me of Chichiri's "no da" from Fushigi Yugi. That robot dog is pretty cute. But why the heck does the professor have a son?? O_o The transformation is interesting. I like how the skirts magically appear. I especially loved Buttercup's reaction to magically appearing skirt. XD Aaah, she will always be my favorite.

It looks like they combined the story of Power Puff Girls and the transformation style of Sailor Moon, added a few things, then made everything incredibly stupid.
