You need to uncomment those lines Jeremy

Still getting the same output (what I wrote in as php code).

To me this means that whatever is supposed to be interpreting php isn't, be it a dll or exe I should have installed but haven't (though I've done every step)...

Ergh... If this doesn't work soon I will abandon this to delphi *L*

Ok check the basics, you are calling it through localhost and you are restarting Apache after making changes to the config file right?

Have you added these lines somewhere in httpd.conf:

    ScriptAlias /php/ "c:/php/"

    AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml

    Action application/x-httpd-php "/php/php.exe"

And have you changed the path of ScriptAlias and the Action to the path of PHP on your computer, for example:

    ScriptAlias /php/ "D:/Apache/php/"

    Here's what I've got:

    Code:
        # And for PHP 4.x, use:
        #
    	ScriptAlias /php/ "C:/php/"
    	ScriptAlias /php2/ "C:/php/"
    	ScriptAlias /php3/ "C:/php/"

    	AddType application/x-httpd-php4 .phtml .pwml .htm
    	AddType application/x-httpd-php4 .php4 .php .php3 .php2 .htm

    	Action application/x-httpd-php4 "/php/php.exe"

         AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
         AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

        AddType application/x-tar .tgz

Comment that out and add the three lines I posted with the correct paths. I have got PHP installed under my Apache folder so for me it is:

    ScriptAlias /php/ "c:/Apache/php/"

    AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml

    Action application/x-httpd-php "/php/php.exe"`

    This works with no problems!

I installed Apache and PHP and mySQL last nite, took me 10 mins...

Not that I'm going to be learning PHP...

Grabs him by the ankles and pulls him back into the good forum!

But, I do agree this is a 10 minute install job

    Okay, I uninstalled everything.

    Downloaded Triad.

Installed it and it still didn't work (apache wasn't running).

So I did my apache install I had before and php still didn't run.

So... I copied the whole apache directory that came with Triad and overwrote all information from my default apache install and tried to restart the service...

Got an error on some line (path not defined) so I tried to fix that, restarted apache (succesfully) and php worked!

    WHOO

Now I've gotta learn php and delphi

Right now, I am doing the same. I am still struggling with PHP and trying to learn Visual Basic as well. My dad knows quite a bit Delphi, so a large chance I will be trying that one out as well in the near future. Got some busy times coming up ahead of me, due the several other things as well, but I'll manage !

PHP is fun, tho I prefer ASP.

I'm in the middle of porting all the products for e4ums to PHP and making a site using PHP.

That one is part of it. Plus a scription for school which has to be a minimum of 40 pages, a database driven website for school (building a hardware site with one of my friends), work, a personal site I have been trying to build for the past couple of months (I finally thought up something nice), and, urm, getting into touch with new people (which is taking up quite some time as well)...

Jade's into pc's as well? Anyway, there is no pressure at all. If I keep working at my current speed, I should be finished at the end of the week .

Nope, Jade hates computers, she only uses it to talk to me and type out stuff, but she did have an idea for a site that sounds fun and original, if not a little controversal!.
