    PayPal link causes error

I have a link to PayPal that involves a secure connection. The user operates the link to donate, via PayPal, to the local humane society for which I run the web site. This link requires a long single line of code, that wraps to about 20 lines. This code engenders a W3C validation error that claims there is non-U.S. ASCII code on the page. Obviously, I cannot alter the code. What do I do to allow this page to pass W3C validation for HTML4.0?

    Thank you,

    Jan Ditzian

    Hi,

We need to actually see the link to be able to help with that.

    Found the problem

I apologize for raising the concern. I found the problem, and it was not with the PayPal link, it was with two apostrophes that were copied and pasted from a doc file that was sent to me. Apparently, MSWord encodes apostrophes using a non-U.S.ASCII format.

Thank you for endeavoring to help.

Tell them not to send you doc files for simple links . That sounds kinda weird.. I'd just shove it in a text email and be done with it.
