    Favicon and IE Spacing issues

    1) I have a favicon that displays in FF and Opera but not in IE, have searched and followed many tutorials to get it to work and have even looked at the source of sites like this one to learn the trick. Simply put I can get it to work, any hints will be greatly received.

    2) On the page linked below, the pink box at the bottom in IE has no spacing between the last line of text and the bottom of the box. In FF and Opera however there is a little gap. Again any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Here’s the link: http://web.ukonline.co.uk/graham.marsh1/howtobook.html

    Thanks in advance

IE's handling of favicons is very buggy. It will only show favicons for sites a user has bookmarked.

Favicon sometimes shows up in the browser if you "pull" at the blue e in the address bar a few times.

It is not that I don't believe you, but you can't consider that you can see favicon IE if you can see it that way

Works for me - once done, the favicon is there to stay in IE. You don't have to keep doing it - that would be just plain silly!

I'm sure you're dragging that little E for every page you visit just to see if they have a favicon!

    Ah No! My secret's out!

You know for all it's non-standard compliant behaviour and lack of features, it's the favicon tweaking that really annoys me about IE!
