    Auto Expanding Verticle Line

    Hello,

    I am currently developing a new site layout for my site, totally and completely written in CSS (hurrah!).

    Okay, let's cut the crap. I have two columns. The left is my content, the right is my navigation. Sometimes my content is longer (in verticle height) than my navigation bar. Sometimes my navigation is longer than my content column. How can I get a line between these two columns that will auto expand down to the longest column?

    I've been trying to work with "clear: both" but it only works one way.

    All4nerds, that's exactly what I want it to do. However, I have never encountered such weird coding.

    What is this:

    Code:
    	head+/**/body .fc:after{
    	content:".";
    What is it's purpose and function?

    And all these head+body's and * html's? I've never seen it written that way before.
