Cpx Interactive - You Have Got To Be Kidding Me

First off, it's bad enough that I am giving these *******s over 5,000 click thrus per day (USA Only) and only getting $0.06 cpm rates..

but this banner that I just saw that went on my site put me over the edge.

    http://content.cpxinteractive.com/11...69077a65f9.gif

They are a shady company.. with shady tactics.. and very unprofessional.

If anyone is using this company, be aware.

I don't think they're a shady company - low eCPMs yes, but there have a long standing pretty solid reputation.

That ad is VERY worrying though!

Have you contacted their support about this, I'm sure they don't want it in the network rotation either.

Maybe I should say that they are not shady as a company, but a LOT of their ads are. They have ZERO quality control when accepting banners. Do you think Tribal Fusion would allow such a banner like this into their network?

This is unacceptable.. and this is like the 4th time this has happened with them. Oh well, Im done with them. I find it hard to believe that with some networks, I can make over $1.00 eCPM's but this company is giving me $0.06 eCPMs.

Anyhow.. if you dont like banners like the one I posted, I suggest that you decline it in their control panel (that is if you have a good 25 minutes for their Cpanel to load up.) LOL

That banner's hilarious, I'd never want to see it on my sites though. Should probably stay away from them unless you can't get in the better quality networks.

    Creative Response

The creative that appeared on your site did not come directly from our network. Another company called Vizi Media formerly Icon Adsol and also the owner of Adotas Online Magazine had this creative placed in the Right Media Exchange (aka Yield Manager Marketplace). The creative has been removed from the entire Right Media Exchange and had a direct effect on multiple networks and not just ours. If you ask the publishers in our network, this matter was taken care of promptly, as we take care of all issues seriously. Also, since we took care of this obscene issue, no other network in Yield Manager should have this creative showing.

dont you guys have some sort of quality control? In the past several weeks i have seen:

    Cows humping cows
Do You Wanna Get Laid Tonight?
    the banner posted above

and several several others. it wouldnt bother me if there was a simple way for publishers to go in there and deny these banners... but to do this, it literally takes 30 minutes because your servers are so slow at displaying all of the banners.

We do have quality controls on our end. The ones you mentioned above this post do not belong to us EXCEPT the "Cows humping cows" "Cows humping cows" is considered suggestige due to the "adult" nature of the creative and our publishers can opt out of all "suggestive" creatives in the login. Publishers can also opt out of any offer and creatives in their login too. The servers have been upgraded and work very swiftly in previewing creatives.

I appreciate someone bringing this to our attention. We were not aware that Buds/CPX was using our advertising feed, but will investigate this. We do allow many networks to use us as filler because of our high CPM rates (average is .60+) on sites. CPXinteractive's business, as all of our publishers is extremely important to us, and we take this issue quite seriously.

As for the advertising in question, it was or should have been classified as suggestive or adult. I would reccomend that all publishers log into their accounts and ensure that they have all options checked.

As BudsDavid mentioned, we are part of a large company that includes the top interactive journal, ADOTAS, and we take advertising quality and controls very seriously. As we represent major websites such as Marvel.com, Nasdaq, Tagged.com,.. and many other major brands, we need to ensure such advertising is inappropriate placed.

Again, thank you for bringing this to our attention David; this should not happen again. The CowHumping creative has never been on our network however, as it was considered too offensive for us to take, according to our quality control people.

I got an ad for a dating site with a topless woman covering her breasts with her hands. That's downright porn. I'll see if I can find that ad.

why don't you all opt out of ANY suggestive / adult type of offers in cpanel then start complaining if they slip through.

If you dont want sexy ads, I would reccomend you login to your account at vizimedia and deselect suggestive ads. Some of the ads, I agree are a little sexy!

As for a photo of a woman covering her breasts, I am not going to agree how this is "porn", but that's your preference. As far as I know, any beach out there, women wear bikinis that "cover their breasts"

    best,

I appreciate CXPInteractive constant attention to this issue, and I am glad that they are working with us and other companies to ensure network quality. They are a valued partner, like all the networks that work with our company, and a great company! As they know, we run the YieldManager Discussion list which has been dealing with this issue and ensuring network quality.

This is a serious issue, and I am happy that they are willing (unlike some other networks) to discuss network quality, both in their own network and their partners. This is why I am a big fan of their network, and their continued partnership within the advertising community.

    Best wishes,

im at the point where im beginning to think YM is a joke. I have tried all of them Right Media, CPX, Icon.. and they ALL have horrible ecpms... $0.06 seems to be their magic numbers.

Im making 3 times more with Redux Media than all three of those combined as one.

Any site that guarantees 100% fill rate with the highest cpm rate is full of you know what.
