    Mine's pretty lame... (B)randon (ELEY) = beley

I know... lame. I used to have a "handle" in games and such online... it was PsYcHo - but that doesn't lend itself to professionalism does it!

Mine is horrible. I brainstormed it up a few years ago when I was tired of my old one (I don't remember the old one really)

I'm sick of it now, though, and I try to change the nick into mattiasj for all new registrations. Would it be possible to change the sitepoint nick to mattiasj? I would like that very much.

Funny thing. That was my preferred bbs software. I was going to ask but figured you play vid games with the name renegade in it .

And Zmodem oh my god I am gonna bust a gut. Memories.
LOL. No i didn't steal it from the BBS software. Stragely enough though, I like the Renegade BBS software. It was the best! I even ran a Renegade BBS for a short period of time.

Yeah, remember Zmodem? it uploaded AND downloaded error-checking and i THINK some kinda rough auto-resume. Can't remember its been so many years

    No I'm not from Louisiana.

Creole is the name of a song from a band called the Prayer Chain (RIP). It's on an amazing album called Mercury.

It's the nick I use anytime I play an online game or sign up for some bboard. I've been using it for probably about 6 or 7 years.

Hmm then I am lost as to where renegade came from There were games (online that is) that were called renegade. Yeah Zmodem was a file transfer protocol. One of the more advanced ones. very stable and fast ...

haha I should have guessed I played that game quite a bit. Well there are two way people pronoune Ariakas I forget proper symbols so I will use liscence plate code

    AirEEAkas

    I prefer
    ahryeahkas

    Wow that doesn't make sense

And yes I stole it from a book a long time ago I used to pick all of my characters names and handles by picking a book throwing it against a wall. On that page I would find a name to use.

I went for that for a while.
One day I came across the "Sonique" mp3 player.
at the time i was looking for a alias as a "hacker" to be...but the nick was to be "sonique_x" but i never learned to hack. So i adopted Sonique as my good alias *wink*.
    Here I am now.

    New neck for the taking:
    Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvilli
NOBODY would be able to remember or pronounce it. (Except the Russians, of course)

(That's Josef Stalins name before he changed to Stalin)

It would be hard to be remember with a name like above. You want something short and sweet to go into record books.

Like Vladimir Ilyich Yulianov, a.k.a Lenin.
Funny how these "share everything, we are all equal" blowhards suddenly need a snappy name when they reach power, to set them apart from the rest of us.
Like if George Bush said he wanted to be called "Big Business George" from now on.
