conditional comments driving me up the wall

Hi guys, I am going insane here.

IE is getting my em values wrong for a class called .journalEntries, it is making them appear huge.

I thought I would use conditional comments to apply a smaller size to IE but it doesnt seem to work!

Can anyone tell me why?

sorry, I did have it as em, I changed to px just to see if the conditional comments were working.

Back to ems now

So it looks ok in IE? Im on a mac, Im relying on a friend to tell me if it looks ok

HI,

I would addrees the font-size on the h5 instead and then you won't need any hacks as it avoids the compounding issues.

Remove the font-sizing for journalentry and apply it to the h5 instead.

e.g.

.journalEntry
{
/* background: url(images/icons/journal_entry.png) no-repeat 0 50%; */
padding: 0 0 0 5px;
}
.journalWrap h5{
font-size:1em;
}

Now ie and firefox are the same.
