hi peeps, i have a website (well messageboard) dedicated to keeping in touch with my friends at uni.

i'm trying to find a way of having the page display who is currently on the site and possibly allow chating too... it si currently hosted by freenetname.co.uk so i cant use CGI scripts or any of that stuff

can anyone suggest a way of doing this? (preferably not using java either as uni computers dont seem to like it)

    many thanx.

Without some sort of server side support your stuck. See if you can use ASP or PHP on your site. Other that that you will need PERL access even for most java-based applets.

Your other option is to go with a remotely hosted chat applet unfortunately since I have never looked into that then I can't point you in the right directions.
