Smile Positioning a tagline on the right of an image, using CSS

In chapter 6 of Build your own Standards Compliant Website using
    > Dreamweaver 8,by Rachel Drew, I've tried many times to position the tagline, accesssiblity controls and page controls in the header by following the instructions in chapter 6.

I've failed 7 times, even when I simply tried to position the tagline alone.

Each time, the result I get is the tagline, etc. BELOW to the right not alongside the logo. It appears as if a line has 'crept in' to create a box around the logo and the header-top - which is positioned at the bottom of the header top, not half way up - that 'submerges' the tagline and accessibility controls beneath and below the bottom of the logo, to its right.

I'd appreciate any recommendations for sorting myself out with this.

ok: pain relieved - sorted problem by introducting an 'absolute' value for the position attribute of the tagline...
