text overflows floated div when i increase text-size.

I've got a horizontal nav bar inside a division ( im using <ul></ul> to set that up) at 16px. it looks fine the problem is when i go to view - increase text size in my browser, it goes beyond the nav bar, is there a way to prevent this?

    thanks!!

I suggest you remove the height property from #navbar, so that the links will still have that background color.

Web design is not print design. Good web designs keep flexibility in mind, so different font-sizes and different viewport widths don't destroy pages.

That's what happens when you use fixed units of measurement to specify the dimensions of something with variable size (like text). To make an element adapt to changes in text size, specify the dimensions in a unit that is relative to the text size: em.
