    Net stats

    Hey

Does anyone know of a reliable source of Net statistics... things like number of internet users worldwide/per region and on modem/cable/proxy and all that kind of stuff?

    Thanks...

OK I did... all credit to them -- they got back to me very promptly:

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting Forrester Research.

Forrester's research, support for research questions, and contact with our research team are only available to our clients. We do not have any special access or discount for students or professors. Forrester's client relationships are normally annual memberships with corporations.

Our Press Release section is helpful if you are trying to locate data or ideas that we've made public.

    Press page: http://www.forrester.com/ER/Press/Re...1770,0,FF.html

I would also recommend taking a look at our new Baseline Research packages which allow small business executives, independent consultants, and independent researchers access to the same research that Global 2,500 companies use to build their Internet strategies. These packages contain either one report or multiple reports that focus on a specific topic and can be purchased through our Web site.

    Baseline Research: http://www.forrester.com/ER/Baseline...1818,0,FF.html

Insubstantial portions of Forrester's research text, less than a paragraph long, can be included in your research papers provided that the paper is to be submitted for academic classroom use only and will not be published or posted electronically. The Forrester copyright and other proprietary notices must be affixed and all other text properly cited. The use of Forrester's research for publication or electronic posting must be discussed with Forrester Public Relations department at press@forrester.com.

Again, thank you for contacting Forrester.

    Regards,
SO I guess that is a no. I noticed something on one of the avantgo channels that I will check out -- anyone got anymore?
