Where do I register UK domain names (.co.uk) and does any one know of any free hosting companies, I'm not after all cgi access and stuff -just a place to host my basic site ??

If you register your domain name through them they will give you free hosting. I am not sure if they register UK domains, though.

My ISP, NetDirect Online, will register for you a free .co.uk domain name. No charges. You get free hosting also, 20 mb space will unlimited mail accounts.

The catch is that if you want to transfer to a different host, it'll cost you £90. But trust me, you won't want to, their server is never down (perhaps a little slow though).
