I have a rock n' roll site, (see my signature), but I don't know how to advertise it. I need people to help submit more content, but I don't know anything unique I could do to promote it...
You have your work cut out for you. There are a ton of sites dedicated to Rock.
A couple ideas come to mind.
1. Interact on the forums of other Rock related sites. Use your site in your sig.
2. Come up with a way to be a unique news source. The sites I have seen doing this seem to do fairly well. However, It's a heck of a lot of work.
I wish you luck. I have 2000 Unique listeners a day on my radio station and I am still struggling with getting them to visit and participate on my site.
