Chris, this is a great article. i am very curios to read the book and i have been trying to grasp these concepts for few days looking at the diagrams. I am a developer and not a designer, and from what i understood this book covers the essential core elements involved in the architecture of a successful web site.
I am really eager to read the book, and hope you will cover more "classical" books in the future.

I had already read the book, the elements of user experience and it was a rather interesting read, especially how Jesse chose to layer the structures of the web in terms of building blocks, though it may be seen that how the web is evolving, additional layers may need to be applied to completely relate to all website aims
