Does anyone have any REALLY good ideas on how to speed up the process of changing the layout of each and every page that you have created on your site already?
Nearly everyday when I look at my site I come up with some slight layout change and would love to find a way to update each page that this change would affect without having to open and manually change them.
Does anyone have any specific habits that help do this?
I know there are options like SSI, CSS and templates but i'm not sure which is the best option of them all?
What are your thoughts?
Looking forward to your replies.
Of course my frames are also built dynamically if the user fits my criteria.
To create a page initially I use custom templates that I have created. Of course this still becomes cumbersome at times.
I am currently devising a system to make my content pages completely separate from the interface which will be encapsulated into several files and included at time of presentation. Some other pages (about 150) are being converted into a database format that gives me many more presentation options and allows the user to sort the data based on their needs. Hopefully when I get done I will have 400-500 pages of content along with 200-300 dynamically created data lists, all completely separated from the interface that surrounds them.
