alt for imagetruecolor in gd 1.6 ?

Hi ,

i am actually trying to make a thumbnail from php, i used ImageTrueColor function to create a new image resource, but as it turns out it wasn't there in Gd 1.6... as it is most commonly used i heard there is some way to create a true color imae in 1.6 also...

any of you know about it?
