    Hi,

I am writing a site for a client that wants to be able to update it daily with fresh content (probably just wordprocessed text).

He wants me to design the site so that the pretty graphics and navigation bars wrap around the outside of the main content.

He then wants to create his own content daily in say MS Word and be able to upload it to the site and just bay calling the file a certain name, to have it automatically read by the HTML code and displayed in the middle of the rest of the page.

Great idea and I'm all for it as I havn't got the time to keep updating it for him, but how the heck do I do that?

I know you guys out there will have the answer ! Would appreciste your help.

    Graham

SSI is the way to do that and combined with perl you can have on-line publication. All the user has to do is cut and paste a text file into the browser and click "build" and the page will build automatically with updated references, then you use the SSI to call them pages.

The script can be found at http://perl.thescripts.com/free_scripts/wywg/

Modification maybe required to suit your needs.
