I'm experiencing difficulty formatting a graphic created in Photoshop to preserve a transparent background. The graphic is a logo that I'd like to display against multiple backgrounds.

I'll appreciate guidance as to how to overcome this problem using JPEG, GIF or other web-friendly format.

    Hi

Firstly, gif is the format to use. There are one or two others, but they are far too bulky.

I use paintshop pro to do my transparent colors. Use the Set Transparency option under the Color menu.

Photoshop ought to have something similiar. You can also use a program like Gif Construction Kit to set a transparent colour.
