    saving images with ie6

For the last few days ie6 has only let me save images as untitled.bmp

I right click on any image, click save image as, and it only lets me save as untitled.bmp.... I could change the name to something else but .bmp is the only offered format

    Any ideas?

Did you add any new graphics programs or photo viewers to your PC?

Did you add any new software/windows updates before that change happened?

I haven't had the problem either. Are you sure the images that you are trying to save aren't Bitmaps??

If it's still a problem, try downloading it again. I haven't had the problem either, and I've got it downloaded on like 25 computers in my lab. I haven't had the problem on any of them, of course, I haven't tried, I guess I could give them a shot. ...

Long story short, maybe just a glitch, that can be fixed.

Yes, I'm sure the images weren't bitmaps...

But its fixed, apparently it was because my temporary files were full. I guess I thought if that happened it'd give me a message about it... I had it set at nearly 1gb of space too.

There's a checkbox in Internet Options -> Advanced that will clear your temporary internet file cache each time IE exits. Might make for slower loading sites in the beginning, but its a small fix for the untitled.bmp problem.
