Free email services - which is best?

anybody has come across a free email service which they think absolutely rocks? i'm looking for something which is fast(unlike hotmail) and bug free(my current one has certain bugs and lots of server downtime)

    thanks

Yahoo! I've used it 1997 (back when it was Rocketmail). Others have come and gone (Net@ddress, X-Networks) but Yahoo! has always been reliable and fairly fast. I don't even get much spam

actually its been quite a giggle giving people my email address..

Anyway nope I just get free email and free personal webspace thats all. There are other services that you can get but this is pop3 mail that I have at home and well I don't get bothered by any ads, spam anything like that and also the help facility is very good (have been on first name terms with them)

They used to send out a CD (like AOL [shudder] does which you can install on your machine to give you internet and email access) but they aren't doing them anymore.

I think that I am signed up for the classic madasafish, don't pay nothing other than phone bill.

I haven't been onto their site for ages so not sure if this is still on offer - if it is I would go for it.

    well it depends...

actually it was the modem on my laptop that was the problem, you know how MS likes to introduce a new modem card when you aren't looking and so being a newbie I didn't know what to do so they sorted it out for me over the phone. even though it was a modem problem not a madasafish problem.

Other than changing the dialup number I haven't had a problem since [touch wood]
