Hey All,

What are some of the sites that have helped you most when learning to design webpages? I mean *all* aspects of making and running a site: HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Photoshop, Business Management, Web Tools, Promoting, Hosting, etc.

I'm making a page of links for newbies/intermediates so that people can get a lot of what they need in one place quickly and easily.

I would say 4guysfromrolla helped me get started in ASP, but from there, I just learned by doing. Sitepoint and Webmonkey are also good. Other than that, I don't really read many such sites, there are too many of them.

I think many sites have great content- but the layout is too confusing for a newbie. So I'm attempting to deep link right into the ABC's of everything. Instead of having them dig thru the old haystack.

Links that are easy for newbies- most useful for newbies. So they don't have to search all over for a starting point. And tools also.

I just found this last night and started going through some of the tuts, and they are great. Especially the one on using Extract in Photoshop- It has greatly simplified my tasks of removing a background.
