Does anyone know where I can go to download a list of all top-level TLDs? I'm not just looking for the basic TLDs, but also some country-specific ones such as ".com.cn" or ".edu.uk", etc.

.yu ceases to exist and will be replaced by .rs any day now.

Nice list. It is interesting how the different extention can be used. I have a couple .fm domains that I am planning on using for podcasting sites.

TLDv(dot)com (link in signature) lists most of the major subdomains, however you would have to go to each country page to collect them. Some countries have dozens of them.

Be aware that there are also many .xx.com type domains offered by some registrars, these are subdomains without any official status and could vanish at any time. There are no official second level extensions of .com domains.

There is a FAQ page on the TLDv website that covers what an extension is and many more questions.

I'm curious about that .store. What are the requirements for it and where can I register a .store domain?

.tel it's only for contact information, you can't have normal website under it...
it might get interesting, when most phones will be able to read that information...

I few years ago I seem to recall coming across a .uk.com tld, but haven't seen anything like that since. Is this a genuine domain extension or was it simply a sub-domain on www.uk.com?

    Thanks!

Yugoslavia changed name to Serbia and Montenegro and after splitting, now there are separate countries Serbia, and Montenegro. New tld for Serbia is .rs and .yu is in phaseout, which means that new domains can't be registered and that old domains will be deleted on September 30th this year.

A whois engine that search (nearly) all (but all of the domains that implement a public whois) domains:
    www.whois.com.tr
Providing whois even on domains that do not provide a whois (port 43) protocol. It also looks up IP numbers. Currently being developed.

No there isn't, it has not been ICANN acredited, it has been proposed, which is far from being available to register or even being a reality.

Is the .name extension dead? I have a .name domain but I'm trying to decide whether to let it expire or to transfer it to my new registrar.

Yeah the TLDs in the post are updated. .arpa, .store, .web.. Wasn't there supposed to be a .inc before the .biz, actually I think it was before .biz official
