Can anyone tell me if there is a way for my site visitors to request an email of a file instead of waiting for a download?

I have an idea of creting an downloadable catalogue of my kitchens, this would be fairly large, say 1-2mb. I though rather than people waiting for the download over the web, it would be faster from their email server at their ISP.

So, I would like to allow visitors to enter their email address in to a field on my site and have sent immediately the file through email.

If anyone has any ideas of how to do this, or any reasons why it wouldn't be such a good idea I'd love to hear from them.

    Thanks,

    steve root http://www.rootskitchens.co.uk

uhh....They'd still have to wait for the download when they try to download it to their mail accounts (if they're using a mail client) and if they have a web based mail account...attachments that large probably wouldn't be accepted.

I know of a script that does this , however you will need to make sure you have the Perl module MIME:Tools installed I beleive.
