Ruby on Rails Forum
Anyone written good open source forum software in Ruby yet? When I google for a ruby on rails forum, I get covered up in forums that cover the topic of RoR instead of furms written in RoR.
I was just curious... I think it's ironic that all these RoR topic boards are mostly written in PHP.

There's Opinion, written by the same guys who write the Typo blogging software, but it's not even close to ready for use.
There's also RForum which I didn't like much.
There are a few other projects going on that I know of, but they're in their infancy.
That's why most Rails forums use PHP-based software.

I've been writing one, although its currently on hold for abit while I learn some web design principles. It is quite complete, but the administrative backend is not completely ready yet. It follows the traditional forum software approach that many other forums follow, just reinventing the wheel. But for those who wish to have a rails based forum, it may be a good choice.
I'll be working on getting it out soon enough.

Sounds like a good space to put something out in... I'm surprised folks haven't jumped on this more.

Ruby on Rails as CMS
Hi
Just getting my head into this world so please be gentle.!!
I (company work for) that have just aquired a new website which is in need of an overhaul including implementing a content management system. I have heard that Ruby on Rails is an excellent application and would be a better (read: more economical) idea than having a custom build CMS.
From what I can gather the site is currently written in Frontpage with SQL Database. (is this information even relevant?)
Can anyone advise me on their thoughts or RoR for a CMS?
Thanks

RoR surely saves you development time & costs for a CMS (versus PHP for example), but RoR is not a CMS so it will still be custom built.
