turn flash off for web testing (pc)

Can you turn flash player off or can someone let me know how I am uninstall flash player so I can test flash detection pages?

It's so annoying that it seem burried deep somewhere I can't find it!

I am running win xp pro and want to test it in IE 6 and Firefox 1.5

    Thanks.

But if anyone has any tricks for disabling it on a temp basis for testing I would be most grateful.

Install the Web Developer Toolbar extension for Firefox and use its "disable plugins" button

Or use Opera, which allows you to disable/enable plugins with two keystrokes.

    Two Firefox extensions:
    http://flashblock.mozdev.org/
    http://www.noscript.net/whats

I don't see an option for that in the Web Developer extension either.
