Thread: text positioning
May 29, 2006, 15:51 #1
Heres a link. http://www.seccombe.com/dilbeck/estates_res.html
I used a table to position the text so it lines up with the design of the box. Why is it that in dreamweaver, it looks fine but when i preview it, the text is in a diff position(dropped down)? do i need to set margins? what is causing it to set itself in that position?

Don't have time to check your code too closely, but I'd say it's because of the use of colspans and rowspans... they can cause havoc with a design if you don't know what can happen if you use them. I don't have FF on this system so can't compare it with the view in IE. Looks like you need a bit of bottom padding or bottom margin to give a bit of space under those icons and relevant text.

I tried the padding but that did not stop it from dropping in the picture. Could anyone else reading this post be so kind as to look at a little bit of the code? Thanks
(thank you nadia too for your suggestions)
