    secure hosting.com

has anyone used secure hosting.com with a shopping cart such as php shop..

I want to integrate the 2 so that the customer can download the orders via securehosting and then process them manually.

Also if I have ssl on my hosting account do i even need secure hosting.com?

    ?????

All you really need is a secure server and a bit of time you will be able to construct your own shopping cart and then untergarte it into a thrid party payment processing system this way you will reduce your costs but you will have to spend a bit more time getting it the way you want it to.

    yeah...

I notice phpshop has an admin area where you can store credit card details from customers right?

I have ssl on the account so really there is no need for securehosting.com

Although bear in mind that my customer already uses secure (an akward way) and is used to using them. So for the extra time involved in locally having them view cc numbers and shoeing them the new procedure is it worth it?

    Cloughie -

As long as you have an SSL certificate you don't need any specific host... I would reccommend getting a dedicated server at www.dialtone.com personally (I would be willing to share one with you if you wanted to split the costs).

I have known several people who used them and were really pleased. They have dual-OC-12 connections, UPS backups, CAT generators and high level security to get into the facility...

They also have a proprietary control panel software that can do anything from the web... really cool. You can see it on their site.

Beely just as not to confuse you this is for another customer not my personal eccommerce project so there fore they would not need a dedicated server, in fact they have a simple account with a web host that offers ssl

    Hi Cloughie-

"Also if I have ssl on my hosting account do i even need secure hosting.com?"

You do not even need your own certificate if your webhost offers free SSL. Just use their server-wide certificate. It works just fine.
