    GotoMyCodes/Profile - Stolen

Aight, as many of you know, I own xenra.com, the former myspace resource site. Alot of people know I got hacked and all of my stuff was sold to other people, which created a whole bundle of myspace sites on the www.

There are hundreds if not thousands of sites using my content right now, but it has leaked so much, i don't really care any more.

Anyway, lets cut to the chase.

    -----

Somebody stole my newly made generators a few days ago and I need some help.

    http://www.myspacegeeks.com/myspace-generators/

    http://www.gotomyprofile.com / http://www.gotomycodes.com

The stolen generators are: profile snapper, train joiner, friend circle, layout stealer, top friends generator, scrape user, text editor and glitter text generator.

    ------

    Proof I made these ?

    http://www.myspacegeeks.com/cecilia/

View the images in that folder, the times they were uploaded will be 1 month and a few days before the stolen generators were uploaded on the two suspected sites.

    ------

Heres a little proof of thousands that I could supply, that I created xenra, aswell as a PSD of the default layout.

    http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/show...ighlight=xenra

    http://www.myspacegeeks.com/cecilia/lmao.PNG

    -----

I contacted the owner of the two sites (gotomyprofile/codes) and this is what he had to say:

    Elvis. says:
    Hahahaha **** you!

    Elvis. is now offline.

    -----

How do I find out who his host is, as he has private nameservers.

I will be sending his host a dmca, see if it gets anywhere.

    Thanks for your help.

I am curious, are you sure they "stole" the code from you?

They can just as well just have "stolen" your idea, as the actual functions would not take too long to create.

The code, the images, and the exact text is the same as I written when I made it.

May I ask since you say the code is identical, did the accused in this case show you the source code they use? If not, how are you certain it is identical.

If they are identical, you seem to have a huge issue with your server security; which you should have addressed the first time someone "stole" from you.

If you can prove they stole original content from your website, write a DMCA copyright infringement notice and send it to the site owner and their web host to have the infringing content removed. You can find examples of proper DMCA format by Googling a bit.

How lame is that? For bunch of text and an image that they stole you're trying to do something about it? Don't you know other people can just make that script easily? blah...

How lame is that? Someone tries to steal his work, profit from it, and is an *** about it and he wants to do something about it?

How unfortunate that you don't have anything worth stealing guk.

The question here is if they actually stole his source code, or copied his idea.

As I understand they did use the same image, but as they changed them he can only do something if the source code is the same.

No matter what you make, another programmer can easily create a script that does the same without "stealing" your code, they just steal your idea.

I know for a fact that he stole it, and I have spoke to his datacenter and they are currently reviewing the matter.

I've seen all those generators on tons of myspace websites. I've also seen them for sale. That glitter gen is on hundreds of sites and so are most of the others. I've had a couple very very similar scripts to some of those on my site for weeks that I bought online.

    edit:
http://www.myspacegeeks.com -> rip of http://www.myspacesupport.com... Not sure where you get off trying to say someone stole your ideas when you obviously took script ideas from Myspace Support...

On an off note, quite the full page adlayer you've added to myspacegeeks, nothing better than an ad that covers the whole page and that can't be closed.

Must do wonders for your traffic.

    PMSL @ This Thread!

You did NOT create those 'turnkey' myspace sites, the backend is from myspacesupport.com and the design you claim to have made was ripped from coshed.com (old design).

I can't belive you have the nerve to ask for help, considering the amount of people here you have pissed/ripped off...

    Angry

    Yeh,

Dude you stole stuff off people aswell so why go and accuse people of stealing yours? So have you actually prove he stole it or is it just what you think? dude no one believes you here coz your cocky, think your to top poo. Just coz you made or make tons of money still show some respect to other webmasters. If you want people to help you out LEARN how to treat others with respect than walking around with your giant head thinking 'i run this place'
