Prob with XP and ASP Forums...

I just tested out my forums and found that once I log in with the proper username and password it brings me to the main forums *thats right...*

When I want to reply to someones post it brings me to login page...I log in and it brings me to the reply...when I click reply it brings me to login...*its a viscious loop!

Anyways it seems that XP is having a problem with the login script...

What should I do to allow this to work in XP...as it does work on other non-XP systems...

Get rid of XP for starters. XP is brand new. Its gonna take a while to get all the bugs worked out.

If you want a stable os right now, go to win2k. works much much better

Have you adjusted the privacy settings in IE6?

IE6 by default blocks all cookies without the site having a P3P privacy policy so I'm guessing it's probably not storing the cookie and that's why your continually getting sent to the login screen.

If you haven't changed them goto Tools > Internet Options > Privacy and try setting it to Accept all cookies or use the advanced settings and adjust the setting to what you feel is appropaite if you'd rather not accept every cookie.

Yes it is the cookies. That should fix your problem. There is an entire thread on this type of thing here:
