Anyone running Norton products on XP?

I'm currently running Win2K Professional SP2 and am considering taking the plunge and upgrading to XP Professional (Home isn't possible from Win2K). I ran some compatability tests from PCPitStop.com and all my hardware is ready to go, but some of my software could have problems - mainly my Norton products (I have SystemWorks 2001).

So is anyone running XP with Norton installed? Is it working? I looked on the Symantec site for patches, couldn't find anything. Appreciate the help!

I went out and bought Norton AntiVirus 2002 because my version would not work with XP even in compatability mode

Just a note: If you get any warnings about software sort them out before upgrading - Sean speaks from experience!

Yes, thank you - I will do that! So the 2002 version should fix all the problems?

Another software listed with problems was MusicMatch Jukebox, anyone know if a patch has been released? I probably would just uninstall it anyway since I don't use it.

I bought a Logitech mouse with an XP logo on it only to find it didn't work. On closer expection, the fine print under the logo said something about the XP patch availble at their site.

That's another thing. I have the wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse, do I need patches for those? Wonder if anyone is running that combo with XP.

Yeah, I was looking at that last night, but is quite a large file and Microsoft recommended you only download it if you have a fast connection, which I don't at 28.8K.

I'm running Norton AV 2001 under XP. All I had to do was download a new exe (actually a Win2k patch exe) from the symantec website and it now works fine. I even think XP suggested that for me when it gives you the option to search the web (like it did for my DVD software).

No problems at all for Musicmatch, took a minute to boot up the very first time, but has worked the same as always every since.

I'm running that and the hardwear runs fine, dont know about the intellitouch stuff though, I never got used to it so I have not had the software on my system for some time.

Oh, the added keys on the Keyboard work, just tried it now, cool

XP is brand new. Its gonna be a while before a lot of software is compatible. I would recommend sticking with win2k for 6 months, to let the software catch up
