there's a really good ColdFusion one at WebMonkey, along with a great tutorial. Needs some work to customize it, but what doesn't?

DansieCart is a kick-azz Perl solution, www.dansie.net Their site is bland, but the product is highly configurable and the help files are second-to-none. Highly recommended, and best yet, there is a Mall version available that works with unlimited carts.

I bought it initially because it integrates smoothly with PayPal and can be set up to work with lots of other payment solutions easily. I am currently working on interfacing it with 2checkout (if 2checkout's server problems don't persist).

The DansieCart looks good to me.
But I wonder if it can handle download products
like eBooks and software. I've posted them the question, if they answer I'll post it here

BTW, hurtdidit if u manage to interfacing it with 2checkout, pls post here to let us know

Yes, Dansie can handle downloads and ebooks, etc. It can even sell randomly-generated passwords, believe it or not! It's actually a pretty potent shopping cart; I haven't found any that can match the features for the money--not even close.

And interfacing with 2checkout should be no problem at all; I just need to set aside a few minutes to do so. 2checkout runs through authorize.net, which DansieCart already supports, so that should be no problem at all.

But if there are any tricks or odd-ball issues with it, I will be sure to announce!

also, as I said, I already own the Mall version, so if someone finds that they do not want to pay for a full cart of their own, send me a PM or email or something; I would be happy to work out a fair deal with them to host their site with me.

If you're looking at a full-featured e-commerce package look at the following sites:

I've checked out these solutions before settling on DansieCart; they are all quite expensive, and really don't offer anything more than Dansie already does, to be honest with you!

And to add to your list: Actinic ( www.actinic.com ) is probably the finest lower-budget cart I found, but at $500 for the lightest version, it's still quite pricey.

One of the best things with DansieCart is that the Mall version ($500) enables you to create unlimited stores off of it! And it is really not light on features at all, even though there are a few things on my wish list!

I agree with u, hurtdidit, DansieCart is a good investment comparing to the others.
hurtdidit, in the mall version, are all merchants sharing the SAME payment gateway or they can set up their own(like the single store version)?

Check out also Fcart which also looks good at $95. It's PHP/MySQL cart.
There's a demo shop online but there's no sample of 'live' shop. So I can't really tell if it's ok or not.
But I have a feeling that this cart might be difficult to configure because there's another 2 packages that
cost $249 and $545 which include installation. So it u ever send in any questions,
the person who reply would always say "it should be easy to..., blah blah,
BUT you need to change certain part of the script AND
we can do it for you if you order the InstantPackage(which include installation).

How about The Exchange Project ?
Has anyone succesfully making any sales from this web store? It looks good but there's lot of confirguration work to do.

tehtarik, yes you would use a different payment gateway with each cart; actually, a payment gateway/merchant account is NOT included with the product, just to make sure that's clear. It is a separate, dedicated shopping cart solution--you would still need to attain a CC processing solution of some form.
