    language of browser

any ideas on how to detect the language of the users browser and then depending on that re-direct the user to different pages?

I know i can get apache to do this, but i need a solution which will work of a virtual account and does not require root access.

    thanks

The languages accepted by a browser can be accessed with $HTTP_SERVER_VARS["HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE"]

no, it's on the user's browser, just like $HTTP_SERVER_VARS['HTTP_USER_AGENT']. $HTTP_SERVER_VARS is just environment variables like Perl's %ENV hash.
