    PHP Gallery at MY ISP

    Hi there

    I have a ISP in Australia witch sasy that they have installed GD. If you follow this link www.jsbn.com.au/info.php to see what they have isnatlled. I have installed PHPGraphy and that is a php album and however i do it it will not do any thumbnails for me. It has all the right permissions and the .thumbs folder is created but it does not build me any thimbnails. You can see it at www.jsbn,com.au/dev/

    BTW Is there a quick and dirty way of tesing if your ISP can generate thumbnails with GD or imagequick...

    Any ideas....

    [EDIT] The code I posted before from php.net will not work anymore!

    Try this I made for another thread:

    PHP Code:
    <?php

        $string
    "Ransom Note";

    $height 23;

    $width 105;

    $im ImageCreate($width$height);

    $white ImageColorAllocate ($im255255255);

    $black ImageColorAllocate ($im000);

    ImageFill ($im00$black);

    ImageString ($im533$string$white);

    Header ("Content-type: image/png");

    ImagePng ($im);

    ImageDestroy($im);

    ?>

    Hmm that works fine, So i should assume that their gd works fine then. Why the he.. can't I get the damn script to work.... I mailed the guy who wrote the script but have not gotten anything back. You can watch his in action at http://ronography.com/ there it looks fine and I have follwed everything, i have a hunch that it has to do with rights on the ftp server and the fact that the script cannot write to the folder.

    The fun part is that the script can create folders by it self but no more...

    Have you tried changing the permissions to 777?

    some general advice that had been said elsewhere:
    When making a directory that images will be written to, make sure it's chmod'ed to 666, and not 777, or some sneaky hackor may be able to get a script uploaded to your directory, and if it's 777, they'll be able to run that script and reek havoc with the server.
