If you are getting started or you are outside the US and can't get a regular merchant account these two offer a good service:

    http://www.revecom.com
    http://www.2checkout.com

If you meet the requirements for a merchant account go to http://www.authorize.net .

I'm using www.worldpay.com and find them excellent.

As for preventing friendly fraud, ask them to supply their order number or some other proff that they actually ordered it. Usually your credit card processor will provide a list of transactions you can check against.
