The day won't have support to an older version (for a while), a lot of people won't upgrade their systems (phpmyadmin for example).

phpmyadmin is the best BD manager i ever saw. Even an older version (2.2.1rc1).
    php? mysql? apache? That's it.

commandline, commandline, commandline, not wysiwyg version of db managers, please!!!!!!!!!!

I think you need another choice in your poll, that reads "I don't need the aid of a program like"

you can use any sql you want in phpMyAdmin
theres a section for it. but not everyone has access to telnet/commandline, like myself, so i have no choice but phpMyAdmin. (in fact my host has it installed and keeps the versions up to date.)

Who does not have how to have a unix server? hein??? Do you know some people don't have a conscience on how it's better to work? Like my **** boss? He wants because he wants a rwindows server and end point (his money, his company and so on).

I have my own server at home - just to play with it (of course it's a unix).

Any idea on how to take with this situation?

question. Do I have the ability to install something like this in my hosted webspace or is this something the hosting company has to do?

    you can install it yourself.
just download it (http://phpmyadmin.sourceforge.net), configure it, and upload it.
