How to edit my ASP pages on onother NT Server?

I have placed my ASP pages on onother NT Server, which
is constantly connected to the Internet.

What is the best way to allow me to edit my ASP pages
from any computer, connected to the internet?
But I should not be allowed access to any other
files on this server.

You could grab a file management utility (www.totalasp.co.uk has several) and set the "root" directory just to that one directory.

This would allow it to browse all of the subdirectories, but not to go any farther "up" the tree to any "important" areas.

Use Microsoft Visual InterDev.

It's a great production tool to manage multiple servers/Web applications, etc.

If you want a more detailed list of the features and stuff, I'd be happy to get them for you.

NOTE: It's not like FrontPage. lol, much better.

Also, don't believe some of the garbage people say about it. The only problems I've ever truly seen with it come from the end-users' stupidity.

I'd have to agree with goober, visual interdev is definitly the way to go.

It is better than FrontPage but I wouldn't use Interdev to edit HTML in a design view

You can edit your asp pages from any computer with this utility - http://freewebftp.com

It doesn't have the same features as Interdev, it mainly a text editor but you won't need to install it on every computer you wish to use to edit your website.

Visual InterDev is definitely the way to go.

There are so many nifty tricks, etc., that I still haven't discovered them all, and probably won't for a very long time.

I've had a lot of luck just using my ftp client (i use ws_ftp) you can just right click on the file you want to edit, then select 'edit file' and it will open it up in a notepad window. You can do whatever you want with it, then hit 'save' and the FTP program will upload the changes for you. Sure, it doesn't have nearly the functionality as Interdev, but if you just need to changes a few lines really quick, you can't beat it.
