How to block my images being displayed on other sites

I am trying to stop other webmasters using my images on other sites (eg their site or eBay). Is anyone aware of a script that allows to specify a list of allowed domains? Or is this a server configuration issue?

    thanks,

    DH

you can do that by using referrer-specific .htaccess information
this technique, however, is very prone to errors since not every browser sends a correct referrer (if at all!)
you might actually block out some users browsing your site :/

There is no real way to prevent others to use your images. The only method which can be used is to check the referer but many people (including me) are sending no referer so the images will be invisible to us too.

There are of course some methods to make the life of the other webmasters harder, e.g. moving the images every 2 days to another directory (if you could unsing a script to make this) but all of them make the life of the normal users harder too (if you move the images, all images have to be loaded again).
