    Installing Apache on Win98

I have downloaded the .msi windows installer from the web, and all seems to work well.

However, during the install, you have to give the name of the network, and name of the server. BOth of which I don't know what to do with, as I am trying to run it on my home PC (Win 98[v2]).

What do I enter into these boxes?

    Regards

    Tim

If you're not putting this machine on the web you can leave the network name blank (or you can put anything you like). The servername is equal to your computername or you can put 'localhost' in. If you're putting the machine on the internet then you have to use your dns name for your servername (ex. www.mydomain.com) and your networkname like this: mydomain.com. I believe this will work although i'm not that sure anymore. But you shouldn't post this kind of question in this forum you know...

    Regards
