    retrieving news headlines

Hey, I need to be able to know how I can scoop up news headlines from a website, and then get the URL to the news story, and store both values in a MySQL database. I'd like to use PHP if at all possible. I guess I just need to know how to go about getting the actual headline text and URL, because once I have info it's easy enough to throw it into a database.

I'm guessing it's just a function with regular expressions, but I'm not advanced enough to actually write it myself. Anyone want to shed some light on this for me?

Anyway, I'm hoping to generate headlines from either http://www.canada.com/news/national.asp or from TheStar.com so any help you can give me would be much appreciated.

    thanks

Just so I'm clear, are you saying you want a script or whatever to search that page for headlines, and then automatically replicate the link, which is inserted into your database?
