    Help with phpMyAdmin and what not

    I need help with phpMyAdmin. I use this for previewing and testing scripts before i upload them (well i want to) how do i connect to the mysql thingy it is like:
    Host: Localhost or root or something
    Database: DATABASE NAME
    Username: (i dunno)
    Password: (i dunno)

    can anyone help me?
    or does anyone understand me?

    PHPmyadmin is a program for administrating a MySQL server. Its not for testing your script.

    Hostname: The host name or IP address of the machine running the MySQl server

    Database name: The name of the database on the machine entered in the above statement

    username: the username you use to connect to the database with

    password: the password for the user name entered above.

    nothing else anyone could help you with here. If you need more help than that, contact your web host. They will be able to provide you the correct info for these fields...

    I think you mean the default values for connecting?

    Database: "test"
    Username: "root"
    Password: ""
    Host: localhost
