    Script to create a directory

I would like to put a section on my site that contains subcategories of a directory for reciprocal links, at the moment its just one long list and without hand coding many html pages I was wondering if I could just add a php script.

Can anyone give me advice about adding a links directory to my site, I have seen this on many sites.

Are there free scripts out there? Do I need to subscribe to an exchange? Should I comission it out to a php expert?

    Thanks in advance

You might be thinking of mod_rewrite actually. This allows URL's to look like directories, but actually point to an entirely different file all together. If you simply want to make the directory, you can use http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.mkdir.php or one of these if you know command-line programs and your server is setup properly http://us2.php.net/manual/en/ref.exec.php.

HotScripts has 189 scripts for adding a directory to your site. One of those should do the job
