    drop down menu inside frames

    Hi,

    I´ve been testing a drop down menu like the top menu on microsoft website. At some point everything was ok, but it happens that my site has frames, with the top apart from the body.

    But this script only works without frames, limiting the number of itens I can put on it if I work with frames.

    Does anyone knows how can I do the dropdown menu working with frames?

    Obs.: My site has a top frame (where should go this menu), a left frame and the body.

    Thanks in advance.

    Pablo.

    I don't think you can do that. I have also been trying to find a solution to this problem for a long time.

    Bottom line: don't use frames. They are annoying anyways.

    Yep...there are dropdown menus that will work across framesets.

    Pablo...could you post a link to your site? It would help us out if we could see what you're talking about.

    site adress for tests

    Hi, sorry it took me so long to reply.

    isotope235, i´ll be checking those links you sent.

    Creole, the test page I´m using is: http://www.altoqi.com.br/defaultteste.html

    There´s the body (bodyteste), leftmenu and the top (topteste). The top calls two scripts: links and topnav.

    Links:

    aMenu1 = new Array(
    "",
    "236","15",
    "","",
    "","",
    "","",
    "A Empresa","Empresa/html/apresentacao.htm",0,
    "Prêmios","Empresa/html/premios.htm",0,
    "Clientes","Empresa/html/clientes.htm",0,
    "Parceiros","Empresa/html/parceiros.htm",0,
    "Contatos","Empresa/html/contatos.htm",0
    )

    And so on.

    The navtop file goes huge, but I can post it if necessary.

    Sorry about the Microsoft-look-a-like that it´s the site, but it´s the client´s order...

    Thanks guys.
