    I like the design - especially the logo and the little squares thig you've got going on - very nice. I agree that the site should be centered though. And I feel a nice little pattern would really add to that somewhat plain background.

    yes, i agree it must be centered. just missed that, we all like to play at a centered window!
    i may add some backrounds here and there but i really want to keep it as WHITE as possible; most gaming sites use dark backrounds.

    if you center it, and make the thumbs a bit bigger, it would look good

    I like the colors and it is very legible BUT (there's always a but).. the thumbnail sizes seem inconsistent, the text in the left navigational columns should be pushed off of the left edge of the browser window and the footer's light gray graphic seems out of place.

    For me, using the windows standard theme on Firefox, the background is gray. It makes the footer harder to read. I figured I'd mention it since it doesn't look intentional. CSS needs:
    Code:
    body {
      background-color : #fff;
    }

    I agree that it should be centered as well. Your menu could use a little margin. I like the logo, font, and different colors. Pretty nice.

    Center it, add a little padding, and you should be good to go

    And the middle column's content should be top aligned, not sure why there is blank space there. Also, lose the adwords until you get traffic, or don't put them in the main content so it looks like an adwords site, which it probably is, but you don't want it to look like one anyhow.

    Like Gator just mentioned I think if you kill the adwords on the main page it will open up some space and look a whole lot better.

    Great logo/banner and great style.

    Thank you all for those suggestions. I am currently working on the tableless version. You can track the progress here:

    http://onbreakgames.com/ (updated to root dir)

    ..so it looks like an adwords site, which it probably is..
    ..actually my primary goals are; having fun, try some php scripting etc.

    Hey,

    Nice and clean website. Good work man!

    Only thing I noticed which should be fixed is that the text links on left bar start touching the left bar which doesn't look good. You could give it a little bit space and it would look cleaner.

    Cheers!

    I was meaning to comment on this site for a while. I do like your color scheme, its very fresh. Looking at the favicon, I wonder if you could not make the triangles a little bigger? Perhaps it will be easier to understand but this is just a thought.
    Navigation seems clear but it looks like your still working on it. Ill come back and comment more when its more advanced (I think you're coding it right now, well, looks like it)
    Have fun.

    I agree, having a hard time adjusting the pixels on a 16x16 canvas. I'll certainly improve the favicon.

    I am actually still constructing the main layout and script, and will possibly add a forum although I am not sure what should be the target/purpose of it

    I just found a very nice looking forum, as I am bored to see vbulletin everywhere, it looks fresh and simpler to my eyes.

    Got the same issue with the center. I have a big res (1200 or something in width) and it looks weird left aligned. I'd also add a bit more colour (make the links for instance have another colour) and maybe increase font size in some places. The design is good anyway.

    Very good color combination and the layout is good.
    Maybe you can add a flash header in order to make the site more professional.
    Just my opinion.

    Hi -
    I really like the leftbar, logo, nav area & overall color scheme!

    What bugged me is your intro. area - "try game" being smaller than
    the other headers in that style and the google ad sort of being
    smashed in there w/ the content. I think you need a stronger
    initial image +/or content in its place.

    The rows of images are kind of off-putting for me as well - any way
    to just focus on one of them & really make it cleaner-looking?

    Great start - have a lot of fun with it,
    El

    P.S. Might want to get rid of the metatags that have /> since your
    DTD won't support them...

    LJK: I agree with you comments, thanks. I'll do some code validation when I'm done, for sure.

    Maybe you can add a flash header in order to make the site more professional.
    I am thinking on it, and on a mascot pops up from the header line. Not sure a mascot would disturb the simplicity or not.

    Nice... Simple... I like the sneaky way you put in that google ad.
    My purpose was just the opposite I don't like the way people integrate the adwords to their site and make people click on it accidentally. I tried to play fair and say "this is the ad, click if you are interested only".
    Btw, the main content will be changed when I'm done with the layout.

    The site looks good. Easy layout and nice color scheme. The only thing, not sure off the top of my head, does Google allow you to make part of your Adsense ads invisible like you do in the border around each individual game?

    Although I see a lot similar instances, I guess not. It will be fixed, the height of the current layout crops the Adsense titles.
