    Alternative to mCrypt...

I'm trying to find a way to encrypt a credit-card number for e-mailing. I was going to use mcrypt or something similar in PHP to do it, but my ISP refuses to install it. I'm stuck! Is there any other way I can encrypt strings without using mCrypt? I don't mind if it is PHP, ASP, Perl, etc, I just need a way.

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry, I have never heard of either... but I am curious, to what extint and in what fashion did your ISP refuse to install it? Will it just not work or is it against their policies or something?

    They are lazy...

No, it's nothing like that, it's just that they only want to use a standard installation, they don't feel the need to compile other modules.
