IE 6: Extra padding under text links
Another dumb bug in the way the page is rendered in IE 6. On the navigation on the left there appears to be an extra 5-10 pixels of padding under each link. In Firefox, these links are displayed fine. Any suggestions to get rid of this padding?

I am not sure what it is exactly in your CSS that is causing the trouble but IE is not recognizing the zero margin and padding you put on your LI's.
I would suggest starting with a seperate test case/page with just the menu, make sure it works in IE than integrate it back into your page.
This menu, for example, looks the same across browsers and might be a good starting point - if you add it to your page and it still doesn't work in IE, you know it is some other CSS not specific to the menu that is interfering.
