Best book for learning CSS & layouts?

    Hey folks,

The "Designing Without Tables Using CSS" book just didn't do it for me. I read... and re-read... there aren't many real-life examples when doing CSS layouts and a lot of stuff just wasn't clear in the book.

Can anyone recommend other great books that have helped you doing CSS layouts.

    Thanks!!
    JP

I really liked Dan Cederholms "Web Standards Solutions" and Zeldman's "Designing with Web Standards"

While a book for someone with at least an intermediate level knowledge of CSS, CSS Mastery is the shiznet.

The O'Reilly CSS Cookbook and Sitepoint's CSS Anthology are similar to each other and equally solid. Both are at the beginner to intermediate level.

The best book combining CSS and (X)HTML (and a host of other important things you'll need for a great site) utilizing beginner to intermediate level techniques is HTML For The World Wide Web.

Most of the nittgy gritty real world stuff you learn through trial and error - a book can only cover so many scenarios and approaches - they can help in the beginning though.
